BETA CIRCUS apresenta uma experiência participativa com o objetivo de criar uma oportunidade transnacional europeia para explorar o circo participativo como uma tendência futura através do envolvimento e da participação do público no processo criativo do circo, permitindo que os espectadores se tornem coautores, editores e observadores do trabalho artístico.
Aplicar a metodologia das artes participativas ao contexto do circo contemporâneo visa promover o envolvimento da comunidade residente no local de intervenção com um processo de criação completo e integrado, aplicado a espaços não convencionais para apresentação artística, incluindo o espaço público, conectando as artes contemporâneas ao património cultural local imaterial pela voz dos habitantes como cocriadores com artistas profissionais.

BETA CIRCUS Participatory experience is a cooperation project that aims to create an European transnational opportunity to explore the participatory circus as a future trend to engage the public participation in the circus creative process, letting the audience to become co-authors, editors, and observers of the artistic work.
Applying the participatory arts methodology to the contemporary circus scene will promote the engaging of the local community of the intervention place with a full and integrated creation process applied to unconventional spaces for artistic presentation, including the public space, connecting contemporary arts to the immaterial local cultural heritage by the voice of the inhabitants as co-creators with professional artists.

Entre abril e dezembro de 2025, no âmbito da medida de Internacionalização do Pla d’Impuls del Circ, realiza-se Latitud(e)s Catalunha – Portugal 2025, um programa de intercâmbio e cooperação que pretende aproximar artistas, festivais e estruturas do sector do circo destes dois territórios. A iniciativa inscreve-se no contexto do CirC – Catalan Circus International Rings, a medida de internacionalização do plano estratégico 2023-2026 para o circo catalão, que visa fortalecer a sua projeção internacional através da promoção de ligações sustentáveis entre profissionais, eventos e espaços culturais. Latitud(e)s afirma-se, assim, como uma oportunidade de diálogo artístico e institucional entre Catalunha e Portugal, incentivando a partilha de práticas, o reconhecimento mútuo e a construção de redes sólidas de colaboração a longo prazo.

Between April and December 2025, as part of the Internationalisation measure of the Pla d’Impuls del Circ, Latitud(e)s Catalonia – Portugal 2025 will unfold as a programme of exchange and cooperation aimed at bringing closer together artists, festivals, and organisations from the circus sectors of both territories. This initiative forms part of CirC – Catalan Circus International Rings, the internationalisation strand of the 2023–2026 strategic plan for Catalan circus, which seeks to strengthen its international projection by fostering lasting connections among professionals, events, and cultural spaces. Latitud(e)s stands as an opportunity for artistic and institutional dialogue between Catalonia and Portugal, encouraging the sharing of practices, mutual recognition, and the development of solid, long-term collaborative networks.
